It all begins in NYC, when Maha reconnects with her childhood friend whose enduring love of fine food and keen sense of taste has but one flaw: dark chocolate doesn't tickle her fancy.
 
Exposed to her mother's culinary skills since childhood and to gourmet cuisines in different parts of the world, Maha chooses to share her family tradition of homemade chocolate.
 
After much prodding, Maha convinces her 'dark chocolate-averse' friend to sample a piece. After savoring her chocolate, her friend suggests the idea of Maha Chocolate.
 
With enthusiastic encouragement of yet other friends, Maha founds Maha Chocolate.
